Hole 10
A strong par 4 awaits players as they start the back 9. Where to aim your tee shot will strongly depend on where the pin placement is on each day. Any pins tucked behind a group of bunkers on the left hand side of the green will require tees shots to be played towards the right side of the fairway. Tee shots aimed in this direction will need to be precise to avoid a couple of small deep bunkers that guard the best angle into the green. Big hitters will be able to gain bonus metres if they can get their tee shots to bound down the hill in the middle of the fairway 250 metres from the tee. The green has a strong back to front and left to right slope that will repel iron shots that aren’t shaped correctly. This hole is a brute into a gusty northerly wind!
Playing Tip
A long drive will see a wedge into the green, but a long iron will keep all options in play.
